Ellie is a multidisciplinary storyteller based in NYC.

Currently, they’re the Assistant Managing Editor at South Side Weekly and the R&B/Hip-Hop Editor at The Luna Collective. They’re also a freelance vocal arranger specializing in seamless, dynamic competition sets.

Ellie graduated from the University of Chicago with a B.A. in Philosophy, Sociology, and Gender & Sexuality Studies. While at UChicago, Ellie was the Music Director of Voices in Your Head, a contemporary a cappella group that ranked 4th internationally and won the LA A Cappella Festival’s scholastic competition under their leadership. They were also the Writing Editor of MODA Magazine, named one of the top collegiate fashion magazines in the country by Teen Vogue. Off campus, they interned with WBEZ, Chicago Review, and Articles of Interest. Each experience developed their ability to compose thematic and narrative unfoldings with compassion, truth, and creativity.

Ellie has taught at A Cappella Academy, the Boston Sings A Cappella Festival, and Camp A Cappella.

In their free time, they love to collect zines, cook up scrappy recipes, and experience as much live music as possible.

Please reach out if you’d like to work together! They’re especially excited about creative interview formats and vocal arranging projects.
