Ellie is a multi-media storyteller based in NYC.

Currently, they’re the Director of Fact-Checking at South Side Weekly and the R&B/Hip-Hop Editor at The Luna Collective.

They recently graduated from the University of Chicago in with B.A.s in Philosophy, Sociology, and Gender and Sexuality Studies. Outside of class, Ellie was the Writing Editor of MODA Magazine — named one of the top collegiate fashion magazines in the country by Teen Vogue — and the Music Director of Voices in Your Head, an award-winning cappella group.

During their undergraduate career, they also had the pleasure of interning at WBEZ, Chicago Review, and Articles of Interest. These experiences have developed their love of compassionate and truthful storytelling. They’ve also strengthened their skills in researching, interviewing, copyediting, social media management, and audio production.

In their free time, they love to collect zines, admire novelty earrings, and cook up scrappy recipes.
